General concept

The cellular objective may not always be biomass production, or the coefficients of the biomass function might change under different growth conditions. This method infers new objective functions that are more consistent with experimentally-measured fluxomic data. This method searches for objective functions, containing stoichiometric amounts of metabolites in a model, that minimize the difference between the model-predicted flux distribution and the measured fluxes.
