Phenotypic phase plane

General concept

When parameters are varied in a constraint-based model, the objective value can vary. Different parameter value combinations can form planes with constant shadow prices. Phenotypic phase planes are an approach to globally assess the ranges of growth rates that can be attained when varying model parameters (e.g., substrate and oxygen uptake rates) and optimizing an objective function with FBA.
